Prayer Concerns



Adoration --

        • Is. 9:6 ~ “For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.  And his name will be called wonderful counselor, mighty God, the everlasting father, the prince of peace.”

Confession --

        • Ps. 19:12 ~ “But who can concern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.”

Thanksgiving --

        • Give thanks for our church school leaders, teachers and those leading the Christmas program.
        • Give thanks for those who are leading and giving direction to our youth group.
        • Give thanks that God saw our need for a Savior and gave us Jesus Christ.
        • Give thanks for those who remove snow from our parking lot and for those who removed the hedge from the south end of our property.
        • Give thanks that we can worship freely every Sunday.
        • Give thanks for God’s faithfulness from generation to generation.

Supplication --

        • Pray for the persecuted church around the world.
        • Pray for the safe arrival of our missionaries who will be traveling home for Christmas.
        • Pray for Ted Van Bruggen as he has cataract surgery on Tuesday; and for Eunice as she is in the care facility in Sheldon.
        • Pray for a safe and productive week for our team going to Haiti this week.
        • Pray for our members who are residing in various care facilities.
        • Pray for those who struggle with depression or other emotional issues.
        • Pray this week for the Central Reformed Church congregation and the ministry of Pastor Van Rathbun.

















Praise:  to our God, El Elyon, (God Most High)
                For you, Lord, are the Most High over all the earth;
                you are exalted far above all gods.  Ps 97:9 
                For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord;
                I sing for joy at what your hands have done.
                        How great are your works, Lord,
                how profound your thoughts! Ps 92:4-5 (see also vs 1-3)
Give thanks:
  • that we have had a good year with respect to Safe Families in Sioux County
  • for the tireless work of the Bethany staff
  • for a growing relationship between staff and ministry leads in NW IA
  • that Safe Family kids were able to return home after their mom had surgery
  • for all the donations we have received and for those who have given these donations
Be in prayer for:
  • Atlas of Sioux Center and Bethany as they explore working together with the Safe Families ministry.
  • A meeting in Des Moines (just before Christmas) with government officials as Bethany presents a request which impacts how Safe Families operats.
  • The families that have been helped by Safe Families in our area, some of which still continue to experience crisis.
  • Families who are experiencing difficulties: the holidays  often add stress and can exasperate these families into a crisis or lead to other issues at home. Pray that these families would come to our attention that we might bring "light" and peace to their lives.
